YAD News Vol 12 – 2022

The May issue of YAD News comes to you bringing stories about activities in our four pillars: cultural conservation, environmental conservation, education, and social services.

The cultural conservation team gives us a glimpse on the journey of the king of Jambulipo Kingdom in West Sumatra and his entourage, which will be immortalized in  a book written in collaboration with the Indonesian Heritage Trust (BPPI).

This edition of YAD News also presents an article about the commemoration of the World Biodiversity Day in West Sumatra, spearheaded by the team from Prof. Sumitro Djojohadikusumo Conservation Area (AK-PSD) ARSARI alongside the Dharmasraya Sumatran Tiger Rehabilitation Center (PR-HSD) ARSARI. There is also another piece telling interesting inside story of cleaning activities at PR-HSD ARSARI, routinely carried out every month. In addition, this month’s inspirational figure hails from YAD education division. Her name is Ibu Rintowati, the Daily Manager of ARSARI ITCI Foundation.

YAD News vol 3 – 2021
In this month of independence celebration, Warta YAD comes to you bringing the spirit of freedom. The first freedom was addressed to two orangutans (Pongo pygmaeus) named Boni and Beni. Both of them have returned to their homeland in Kalimantan, coincidentally on the Indonesian Independence Day on 17th of August, and also close enough to World Orangutan Day on 19th of August. YAD is very grateful to walk alongside conservation partners and the Ministry of Environment and Forestry in the challenging translocation process of these two rare animals.

October issue of YAD News comes to you bringing the spirit of the Youth Pledge. Embodying the spirit of young nationalists of the past who ignited the spirit of one Motherland, one Nation, and one Language, the young people in 2021 who gathered in Indonesian Heritage Gathering in Lasem also sparked the Lasem Declaration. This declaration aims to breathe a new life into heritage city for the welfare of the community. YAD is proud to be able to support this event alongside the Indonesian Heritage Trust (BPPI), as a longtime partner in the field of cultural conservation.
