YAD NEWS Vol 11-2022

This April issue of YAD News arrives at the end of the holy month of Ramadan with news of the YAD’s unending efforts in environmental and cultural conservation, as well as educational and social activities.

In the midst of rampant wildlife-human conflicts, PR-HSD ARSARI team managed to successfully release a Sumatran tiger (Panthera tigris sumatrae) named Lanustika, and currently preparing another one, Puti Maua Agam, to release back to the her natural habitat. These two stories are the headlines for YAD News this month, in addition to pieces about the social life of primates at AK-PSD ARSARI and enrichment of orangutan at PSO-ARSARI.

Another interesting piece is the story of participation of YAD cultural division in the World Heritage Day 2022 commemoration, under the theme “Heritage and Climate”. In educational side, there are stories of donated books for community libraries in Ciamis, as well as an inspirational figure from the BaktiKita ARSARI event, named Mochamad Rajuli, a conservation activist who is also a paramedic at PSO-ARSARI.

We hope you will find this issue enjoyable.
